Dr. Sadat completed his PhD in 2022 from Dr. Lavasanifar's lab at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Alberta, where his research focused on advancing drug-delivery systems to improve cancer treatment outcomes. He received many prestigious awards, including the CIHR-Frederick Banting and Charles Best Canada Graduate Scholarships – Doctoral Award (CGS-D) and the President's Doctoral Prize of Distinction Award for academic and research excellence during his PhD program. Following his graduation, he joined Cytiva’s Nucleic Acids and Nanomedicine Business Unit (formerly Precision NanoSystems), where he played a vital role in genomic medicine innovation from vaccine platform development to personalized cancer therapies. His visionary thinking, perseverance, and curiosity left a permanent mark on every project he touched.

Those who had the privilege to know him remember his rare combination of brilliance, humility, kindness, and unwavering positivity. He was a natural mentor, generous with his time, patient in his guidance, and genuinely invested in others' growth. His enthusiasm brightened even the most intense workdays, and his compassion united teams beyond the lab walls. He would extend his warmth even on a personal level outside of work, always being the first to offer help, bring comfort, or show up with quiet acts of kindness that touched many lives.

The space he leaves behind, in the scientific community and in people's hearts, is immeasurable. Yet his legacy endures through his research, his mentorship, and the countless lives he impacted with his sincerity and care. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire others to live and work with the same integrity, passion, and compassion that he exemplified."
